Our mission at Summit Church of the Nazarene is to passionately and intentionally guide individuals, families, and communities into a transformative encounter with Jesus Christ. Through authentic relationships, relevant ministries, and faithful service, we seek to lead others into a vibrant and life-giving relationship with Christ, empowering them to experience His abundant love, purpose, and fulfillment.
Meet Our Team
Pastor TJ Torgerson
In December 2023, Pastor TJ, together with his wife Nacomi and their three sons, Caleb, Zack, and Joseph, established their roots in Ashland. Their ministry journey has taken them across the United States, from Arizona to Maine, before settling in Kentucky. When not serving at Summit Church, they enjoy exploring nature trails, playing board games, and catching movies together. TJ holds a Bachelor of Arts in Ministry from Nazarene Bible College and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Theological Studies from Nazarene Theological Seminary. We eagerly anticipate witnessing the ways in which God will move within Summit Church and the Ashland Community under their leadership.
Beth and Bo Barber - Youth Leaders
Residing in Ashland, KY, Beth and Bo Barber, along with their daughter Brinley, are active members of Summit Nazarene Church. Both graduates of Kentucky Christian University, with majors in Education and Biblical Studies, the Barbers are deeply committed to community service and readily offer their assistance wherever it's needed. Joining SNC in the summer of 2021, they quickly became integral members of the community, and as Youth Leaders since November 2022, they are enthusiastic about sharing their faith and contributing to the growth of the SNC Legacy.
Aaron Snyder - Worship Leader
As the worship leader at Summit Nazarene, Aaron Snyder has been deeply ingrained in the fabric of our community since his childhood. Born and raised in the vibrant atmosphere of the church, Aaron's journey has been one of faith, growth, and musical expression. With a heart devoted to leading others in worship, Aaron brings a passion for authentic encounters with God through music and song.
Beyond his role on the platform, Aaron's roots run deep within the walls of Summit Nazarene. He and his wife, Kayla, along with their two children, Tinsley and Brevin, embody the spirit of family and community that defines Summit Nazarene.

Missions
Feel free to dress casual for our Worship service that lasts about an hour. We engage in contemporary worship led by our talented worship team. Childcare is provided, and we offer activities for all age groups.
Come early to indulge in our diverse coffee selection, along with delicious donuts, fresh fruit, and snacks available at Holy Grounds Coffee House, and linger afterwards for meaningful connections and heartfelt fellowship.
